THIS IS IT. I have finally finished the cambridge portfolio project. I am so happy and glad to have done this project because I learned a lot of new stuff such as ediiting and other film techniques. I am so excited for you guys to see the final product. All the time that I put to achieve the video. I AM SO Happy .

I have completely finish editting the videos and all I am left to do is make sure I have submitted everything, that my video has everything component I want it to have and also to celebrate because I have offically finish the film project.

This is the first part of my critical response. I have finished all the parts adn all I am missing it to make all the links for my videos public and finish my reflection asssignments that were assign to me, to help or guide me, so I don't forget anything. I am really proud of the effort I put in my critical responses.

Planning for CCR: I am going to do a powerpoint presentation with a voiceover explaining the the whole progress. I am thinking off doing microsoft slides where I explain the planning, post-production, reflection, and overview of my film project. I already started my powerpoint presentation, writing down what i am going to say for the voiceover. After I will edit the voiceover and record the powerpoint slide. I will be breaking down the powerpoint and my reasoning.

So far I have been working on my slides and tomorrow I will be recording and editing the video through Adobe Premier to submit in my next blog post. I have also finished editing my final project video yesterday. I am so happy and excited to show you guys my video.

Post-Production: I just came out of work and I am planning to shot today since I left my job early since I had a dentist appointment. As I was getting my ingredients ready and all my stuff ready. I had completely forgotten that our gas stoves were not working and that the maintanance people were going to fix it today. I am so disappointed because the only day my friend and I had free, we couldnt shot the video. Planning: I was thinking of going to a public park such as Markham park to do the cooking video, but it is too much work to move all the stuff and prep again in a public park which I dont even know if one of the BBQ would be open. I will try to film again this week or the following week in order to have time to edit and add little details to finish my final project. I ended up filming in my friends house and I really think that this recording is better than the previous one. I am happy with the end result.

Planning: Yesterday after watching Oscar award winner movie called Everything Everywhere All at Once. I had realized how important small details in editing and in mise-en-scene could affect the overall result of the film. The plot of the film, I had trouble understanding it, but the editing and costume design was crazy. I understood why the movie won best costume design and editing. For my video, I try to do my best with the costume design since I dont know where the chef costume design is in my house. My older brother that is now in college, used to do cooking competitions and he had a chef constume which I could really use for the video. Production I am thinking of going to one of my friend house to record my film video because she had told me she would help me out with the film project. I am going to be doing the filming with both of my brothers who are older than me and one of my best friends. I think if we cooperate and work together, we would be able to pull this off. We the rookie cooks, will be trying to cook Pasta alla Vodka.

Peer editing: I went to one of my friends house, he is alos doing the film project, but with his group. He used a stabilizer and a tripod to make the shots clean. He taught me certain tricks or tips in order to make a good video. He taught me how to edit out sound that I didn't want to have in the video aswell as how to cut scenes. Difference was that he has a group of 3 and I am doing the project by myself which is harder for me since some of his group members have already taken a film class prior this class. Planning: I am thinking of doing the same plot, but with a different twist. I am going to be the only in the video trying to make an elegant dish in a matter of time. My idea before was to try to do the same but with my friends. However, I found it difficult to make a video with my friends that have no clue of my goal or my instructions. Setting: The lighting and the environment is going to be different since I recently just moved houses since my brother is going to college and my parents decided to move to a smaller house. The kitchen is going to be much smaller than the other film I had recorded. I will try to shot the video either tomorrow or after tomorrow since I am working in a camp from 8am-6pm. It has been really difficult for me to schedule my shotting since I wrok two jobs and they are really time consuming. In order to film again, I am going to need a lot of time since I am trying to perfect the video for the final project.

Summary: I quickly discovered that there are a few essential techniques that every beginner should master. One of the most important is cutting and trimming footage to remove any unwanted sections and create a more polished video. Another crucial technique is adding transitions between shots to ensure that the video flows smoothly and looks professional. I also learned that adjusting audio levels is vital to creating a high-quality video. To do this, I could modify the volume of different audio tracks, apply filters to enhance the sound quality, or even add background music and sound effects to make my videos more engaging. After watching all of these editing tutorials and techniques a beginner should learn, I feel like I have a basics understanding of what editing means and what it does to films in general. It is crucial for me to do a good job in editing ( since editing Plays a big role in cooking videos). I will use the help of my friend who has edit videos before and will tutor me on how to edit and how to make my video better through the use of editing.

Planning: I will dedicate today and tomorrow to have a better understanding of what editing is and how to edit a video. To begin with, I have little to no clue how to edit a sophisticated video. After seeing other peers videos, editing plays a crucial part in enhancing a video. Editing can be a difference maker when it comes to filming a video or filming in general. I starteed off by watching this simple video which teaches the fundamentals and basic techniques for an editing video. This video will help me create a base for my final project video. As I previously said, Editing is important because it allows you to refine and improve your ideas. Through editing, you can ensure that your ideas are clearly expressed, and make sure that your idea is engaging and impactful. Good editing can turn a mediocre piece of film into a great one. The editing platform i will be using is adobe premier because I am a little familiar with this app since my teacher always recommmends me and my peers to use this platform for editing purposes, since it has almmost anything you need in order to edit a video. Adobe Premiere is great for video editing because it has so many useful tools and features to choose from. You can do a lot with it, and it works really well with other Adobe programs like After Effects and Photoshop.

Reflection: After editing my video for the final project and seeing an end result. I have come to a conclusion that I have to reshot the video because there were shots that I did not incorporate or film because of the circumstance that I was in. After seeing other reference videos online to guide my video and editing, my recordings or films have been mediocre. My Idea is to reshot the whole video in my house and Have a friend in my class help me out with the different shots for my video ( since I don't want someone to record my video without the knowledge or idea I want to portray). I have the same plot in mine, but the setting and the environment Is going to be way different than my previous recording. I will have my brother and my friends help to record the video again. After watching other influencers in platforms such as Youtube and Tiktok, the angles and composition in a cooking video elevate the meaning of the video. It is crucial for me to get all the elements right in order to create a good video for the peers and my teachers to watch. For example, I will be using this video to guide my final project video because I find it accurate and a good example for me to follow.

Reflection After seeing all the clips and videos I recorded for my film project in my friends house, I have decided to refilm the steps that I did not get to record because of the circumstance I was in. We were suppose to just hangout at my friends house and cook for each other, but it did not go as planned because some of my friends did not give their consent in being part of the film or they did want me to record them just because they didn't feel like being recorded. So, it was difficult for me to try to complete the whole project with little time I had and I didn't get full cooperation from my friends. The setting and the environment is going to be different since I will be recording in my house and not my friends house. My kitchen is way smaller since I had just moved to a different apartment, so the kitchen is pretty small. In the recording, ill possibly be the only one in the video since I will be doing the video shotting by myself.

Reflection Ive been seeing the clips of me recording my film project. I am debating whether to reshot the whole video or the parts of the video that I am missing. I have been practicing a lot of my techniques such as the different types of shots which could really benefit me for the video. I will most like, reflim either at my friends house again or in my house. But the problem is that I am moving into a different house so It is going to take long to pack and unpack stuff in my house Editing I have been practicing my editing in IMOVIE and in adobe premier, I have been practicing on basic videos like highlight tape or simple videos to help me understand the fundamentals of editing. I first want to perfect the basics in order to do the special effects and other techniques I am planning to use for thr video. I am currently learning how to put in sound effects and how to jump cut from one scene to another. To be honest, learning how to edit is really interesting and I feel like I could use editing in the future.

Reflection Today during class, Me and my peers were asked to critic other blog posts which in my opinino really helped me out because I learned no techniques and ways to improve my blog post. I am not that tech savvy, but after seeing all the other posts, it has helped me realize that the important part of blog posts is to organize your thoughts and be creative throughout the process of making the final project.

Currently, I am trying to organize all my other blog posts and change the design to make it pretty!! I learned that while making these blog posts, I have to think out the box in order to obtain a good grade for Cambridge. For this week, I'll be scheduling myself to fix my blogs and critic my on posts to improve the quality for my future posts.

I am pleased for having my teacher do these type of activities because not only do you see room for improvement, but you also see things to avoid and not do. For example, one of my peers did not know how to add a URL link to his blog posts and I taught him how to an it really helped him. I really need to learn how to do headings and footers for my blog posts so it looks organized, after seeing my previous blog posts, they look really messy. Overall, today was a really useful day because I learned techniques and the fundamnetals of making a decent blog posts. i'll be looking forward into having another day like this.

Shotting As I was shotting for the final video, I found it hard to shot because my friends would not cooperate with me and they didn't understand the plot I told them. There was a lot of distractions as I showed in the previous blog. I found it difficult to get certain shots since there was a lot of things going on. I feel like I could have done a better job planning the shotting.

Shots and Composition I used different types of shots. I used medium shots, POV shots, over the Head shots to show the food and what the contestant are making. As I was recording, there was background music, so some of the sound I wanted to use for the video, I couldn't do because as we were cooking, my friends start put music in the background. Overview I feel like it was really hard to shot a video without the other people knowing what you want to do. I feel like for this type of video, you would have need peers from your class that have an understanding of the different shots and composition, in order to obtain or achieve your goal. I edit the video, but I might need to shot again.

Video For the video, I have a friend that put house for a cooking video. We were thinking on doing a 2v2 cook off competition where we are going to have to critiques critic each teams food. Different ingredients will be used to make a dish. Two courses- Appetizer and a entree. Each team will make their own dish to impress the judges. At the end, judges will try the dishes and give their honest opinion about the teams dish. At the end the judges will decide what team made the best dish and decide the winner. Plan We would do a 2v2 and be timed on the dishes. For example, 15 minutes for an appetizer and 40 mins for the entree. Teams will be able to create their own dishes, come up with their own plan to create a spectacular dish. The idea comes from cooking shows that professional chefs get timed to create a great dish.

Location: Since I am thniking of doing a cook off, I want to be doing it outside(since the dish is a burger). I have the idea of going to a local public park that has a BBQ for the cooking video. The park that I was thinking about is Markham Park, a local park near me that I'm familar with. I know the setting becaus i have been there for multiple family reunions or BBQs.

Mise-en-Scene For the Mise-en-Scene, I was thinking that the contestants wear an apron to show that they are cooking an the critic or the time keeper wears something formal to sure that they are a well-known. Since I'll be doing a cooking video, I'll try to have the proper attire for the video. But, since we are going to be outdoors, that might be a problem. People I'll try to involve different people in the project since it is going to be like a competition. We will have judges and the contestants who are going to make the food, and the judges are going to critic the food. Still don't know yet the plot since there is different scenarios that could happen throughoiut the cooking video.

Editing- Today was a day that only focused on editing. I watch videos and saw articles on how to edit videos in apps such as Adobe Premier. For the Video project, it is really important for me to learn how to use editing techniques properly in order for the techniques to correlate with the video. Mise-en-scene is really important when it comes to cooking videos because it is important to create a clean, bright, and welcoming environment that will make the food look as appealing as possible.

For my video, I have decided to use Adobe premier to edit my video because it has professional-grade features which makes the editing of a video look more complex. At first to practice, I started doing my own editing for my soccer highlights for my college applications to play soccer. I found it difficult to use the application at first, but I got familar with it, which makes it much easier for me to edit.

Shot and Composition: Finally, I want to learn what types of shot I should use for my video in order to make it more interesting and dynamic. As I am watching videos, the video takers like to use wide shots (showing the entire kitchen or cooking area), medium shots (showing the cook and the food being prepared), close-ups (highlighting specific ingredients or techniques), and overhead shots (showing the cooking process from above). Today in class, My teacher assigned us in group for peer review. Each member of my group have me constructive criticism on my video plot. They said it was a good idea to do the video I am planning. At first, the dish was going to be making was a Creme Brulee, but they told me to do a dish that involves a lot of components such as a pizza or tacos. Also, I saw their blog posts and I saw some of their work that really helped me understand the concept of what a blog post is suppose to look like. They also showed me tools and shortcuts to use in Blogger to make my blog posts better and more innovative.

Editing: I learn that in cooking videos, these techniques are the fundamentals. Jump cuts: This technique involves cutting out portions of footage to make the video flow more smoothly and quickly. It is commonly used to remove pauses, mistakes, or irrelevant content. Split-screen: This technique involves dividing the screen into two or more parts to show multiple angles of the cooking process at the same time. It is commonly used to show the cook's face and the food being prepared simultaneously. Music: Adding music can help create a mood or atmosphere for the video and can also help cover up background noise or create a sense of continuity. In most of the videos that I see in youtube or throught Tiktok, These techniques are used depending on the content or stylee of the video.

Dish: I have come to conclusion that making a burger would be the best since I am not the greatest cook to make a dish that requires techniques that take years to perfect like the crem brulee. But, I am not just going to make a plain burger, I am going to make the pickles from scratch, cut the tomatoes, caramalize the onion, possibly make the buns from scratch. This will be the recipe. ingredients: 1 pound ground beef (preferably 80/20) 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon onion powder 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1 egg 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Onions Tomatoes pickles Idea: For the project I want to do like a competition between two people on trying to make a fancy burger and they are being timed. I plot is maybe going to be one of the cooks is going to mess up such as ( burning the patty or burning their onion) and they end up pulling off the best dishes between him and the other contestant. I will record the shots of them cutting the tomatoes or cooking the patties.

Dish: As I am ressearching on the video and about the dish, I figured out making a creme brulee would not be long enough to do a video because their isn't many components in the dish except the part where you have to burn the sugar on top of the custard, in order to caramalize it. I've been thinking on doing either a homemade pizza or a burger from scratch. This dishes when made from scratch require a lot of components and ingreidents that I could use for the video. I am not sure what dish I am going to be able to do since I am moving, which is going to complicate my project. Depending on how long it takes, I would choose the dish for the video Video:
